Reel Irish Music Tours

Reel Irish Music Tours is an exclusive tour company based in County Donegal, in the Northwest of Ireland who aim to provide a luxurious, fully immersive, Irish traditional music orientated experience for guests.

It is a fully escorted tour whereby both company directors will accompany guests on this journey of distinction along the Wild Atlantic Way showcasing County Donegal. Also travelling on the luxury coach will be the lead musician, Ciaran Tourish, along with his accompanist and local musical friends who will join the tour along the way.

Included in the diverse itinerary guests will have the opportunity to enjoy castles, museums, ancient monuments, fortresses and Europe’s highest sea cliffs as well as boat trips. The majority of the sites visited will be professionally guided and packed with information. As well as walking the rolling hills of Donegal’s Glenveagh National Park, guests will also get the opportunity to experience Glenveagh Castle during a guided tour but also through one of the tours highlights, an afternoon session in the Castle itself.

With a maximum of 25 guests per tour, the service on offer is not diluted and very quickly, guests will feel like part of the family. With local information and knowledge of many hidden gems that large commercial tours may not be aware of, guests will experience breathtaking scenery and make new friends along the way. A must for Star Wars fans is a visit to Malin Head where part of “The Last Jedi” movie was filmed.

Guests will enjoy culinary delights each day for lunch and dinner in the handpicked award winning venues, known for their produce which is cooked to the highest standards, the service and of course the setting whether it be for historical or scenic value.

And of course, one of the most memorable highlights on the tour will be immersing in the authentic Irish pub culture, when the tour will frequent the venues for the music sessions each day and again in the evenings. Relax with the friendly locals in front of cosy turf fires and take a drop of the black stuff or a wee dram of the many whiskeys on offer whilst experiencing the unique Donegal traditional music style.

Tours are open to musicians and non musicians alike, therefore guests are invited to bring instruments along and the on board music teacher will be available to guide all abilities. Guests will hear many stories, share in the famous Irish craic agus ceol and experience the warmth of Ireland of a thousand welcomes.
