Knocknarea mountain stands at 320m above sea level near the village of Strandhill. On the summit of Knocknarea you will find the cairn of Queen Maeve.

This walk starts from a new path opposite the Rugby Club on the Strandhill Road. You can ascend the mountain via a gravel path and wooden steps through the Pine Forest. Along the route you will be able to admire great views of Sligo Bay, Coney Island, Rosses Point and the Slieve League Mountains in Co. Donegal.
