With an attractive river setting, Ballina Quay is a key access point for boats to the River Moy famous for Atlantic salmon.

Ballina Quay is home to the Moy Estuary Sea Trout Angling and Boat Club, which offers boat rentals and sea trout angling charters to Bartra Island.

Visitors to Ballina Quay can also rent bicycles, take lessons with kayak and paddleboarding schools, or go seal watching.

The Quay is just a few minutes drive from the town of Ballina.

Tips from locals

Look out for the wreck of the fabled concrete ship, SS Crete Boom, which lies abandoned on a sandbank in the River Moy.
