Carrickfinn Blue Flag Beach 2019

Carrickfinn Beach is an extensive sandy beach with sand dunes and is located close to the beautiful Annagry village, a Gaeltacht area where the visitor can engage in the culture and heritage of this unique region where Irish is still the main everyday language.

There are extensive machair grasslands and the area is noted for the presence of rare plant species. The spectacular displays of wild flowers in spring and early summer make a visit to this grassland unforgettable.

This beach has received the International Blue Flag award for 2019.
