The North West Golf Club in Lisfannon, Buncrana, County Donegal was founded in 1891, along Ireland's rugged Wild Atlantic Way. It is one of the oldest true links golf courses In Ireland and one of the founding members clubs of the GUI Golfing Union of Ireland.

The North West Golf Club lies on the shore of the Swilly, on the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal. It is an 18-hole scenic links golf course, measuring over 6,342m and is a challenging one with magnificent surrounding views. The North West Golf Club has also been described as the St Andrew's of Ireland.

The golf course prides itself on being a true links course with smooth true fescue greens, fast running fairways and rough bunkering throughout the course. It also has many humps and hollows with concealed run offs.

The course at North West Golf Club also has ideal low links land and a dynamic links education where your skills in the art of bump and run will be tested. It is not a prerequisite but the low approach often trumps towering wedge shots on windy days, or when the fast putting surfaces make it difficult to stop the ball. Many of the wonderful greens just flow out of the land and you can putt from 50 yards if you so choose.
