Donegal Craft Village is situated outside the historic town of Donegal on the Ballyshannon and Sligo Road.

Established in 1985, the Village has become a showcase for contemporary arts and crafts in the country. There are six workshops clustered around a central courtyard. These are occupied by talented artists who are highly skilled craftspeople in their chosen medium.

Visitors can meet leading artisans working with glass, pottery, textiles, wood, paint and precious metals and have an ideal opportunity to purchase unique Irish craft and design, one-off pieces. Special bespoke items can also be commissioned for presentations, corporate gifts or as larger architectural pieces.

Visitors can avail of the unique chance to watch Clare O Presco create tweed material on the large loom, Elaine and Lyndsey Mc Gonigle in the glass studio working with hot glass to form glass beads and pictures, Sandrine firing pottery, Johnny Mc Cabe painting, Niall Bruton working with precious metal and Michael Griffin creating wooden sculptures from pieces of driftwood. All work made in the village can also be purchased.

Also on site is an excellent restaurant renowned for its tempting menu, freshly ground coffee and delicious home-made cakes.

There is a picnic area in the beautifully landscaped Craft Village grounds, car and coach parking is spacious and free.
