Back in 2001, Tim Mason put together a crew in Out of the Blue,"with a mission to sell nothing but fresh fish and shellfish. It was a bit of a gam-ble, but it seems to be what seafood lovers want". And how! is the way in which that sentence should end, Out of the Blue has enjoyed thunderous success over the last eight years, sourcing and cooking fish. Discerning locals know how lucky they are to have such an exciting restaurant on their doorstep and it’s just the kind of place that visitors dream of finding - it is not unusual to find a different language spoken at every table.

You can’t miss the brightly-painted exterior from the road, an attractive decked area encloses the outside seating area and, once you get inside, it is obvious that this is a highly focused operation.

The inside dining space has been extended recently, which makes it much more comfortable, but seriously delicious seafood cookery remains the order of the day for those lucky enough to get a table.

Multi-award winner and famously acclaimed for its fresh seafood, which is landed just across the street. Although small and rustic, this little gem is nearly always busy, so book early as this is the ultimate seafood shack. A place where love affairs begin.
