Originally a medieval fishing port, historic Kinsale from the Irish, Ceann tSaile – Head of the Sea is one of the most picturesque, popular and historic towns on the south west coast of Ireland.

Kinsale is in County Cork in the province of Munster and just 25 kilometres from Cork City and Cork International Airport, and is the gateway to scenic West Cork and the start/finish point of the Wild Atlantic Way, the 2,500 kilometres coastal journey from Kinsale, County Cork to Inishowen, Co Donegal.

Kinsale Yacht Club Marina has been awarded the Fáilte Ireland Welcome Standard, the 5-Gold Anchor and flies the An Taisce Blue Flag. The Marina is situated in the heart of Kinsale and is the first marina on the famous Wild Atlantic Way. The marina provides secure and safe berthing within the virtually landlocked harbour on the estuary of the Bandon River. They can cater for all sizes of visiting boats. A deep water berth is available for Superyachts up to 65 meters. The Marina is 8 meters deep at LWS.

Local facilities available include, boatyard for lifting, repairing and storage of boats, sailmaker, repair and manufacture of new sails, refill of gas bottles from UK, Europe and US, bilge and sewage waste pump out, laundry and dry cleaning services, divers, fuel dock near by, medical and dental practices nearby, supermarkets including Lidl and Supervalu that deliver to the marina and Bus stop to Cork Airport and Cork City.
