At the Half Door the menus go with the seasons but whatever is available is perfectly cooked and generously served without over-presentation.

An outstanding speciality of the house is the seafood platter, available hot or cold as either a starter or main course with (depending on availability of individual items) lobster, oysters, mussels, Dublin Bay prawns, scallops, crab claws and, all attractively presented and served with garlic or lemon butter.

Each morning local fishermen deliver their catch through the stable door from which the restaurant takes its name. There may be John Dory, brill, plaice, lobster, crayfish, prawns and crab - all of which will be prepared with the lightest of touches, complimented with the simplest yet most imaginative of sauces,
