Black Valley Youth Hostel

Black Valley Hostel is a modern family run 36 bed hostel located on the Kerry Way, one of the remotest and scenic walking routes in Ireland. It is part of the Irish Youth Hostel Association which emphasises safety and security in budget accommodation for youth travellers and groups.

The area is home to the Mcgillycuddy Reeks and Carrauntoohil, the largest mountain in Ireland so it attracts plenty of hikers and hill walkers. More leisurely transports in the area include horse carriage rides through the Gap of Dunloe, boat rides in the nearby Lakes of Killarney and strolls in the National Park. If you prefer to explore a little further, the Black Valley Youth Hostel is a great base to stay and drive the Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula and Dingle Peninsula.

Manager Susan and her family will make every effort to ensure your visit to the area is one to remember and ensure you will want return again. The Black Valley Youth Hostel itself is eight kilometres from the small village of Beaufort.

Black Valley Youth Hostel is a modern hostel with a range of dorms, family rooms and twin bedrooms. There is a fully stocked self catering kitchen, TV room, BBQ area and a shop at the front of the hostel to provide you with your basic supplies. You can order a light breakfast at the Black Valley Youth Hostel and meals are also available on request. The hostel also has free parking and Wifi.

The Black Valley Youth Hostel is open from March to September and in October for groups of 10 or more. It is said that Black Valley got its name from the fact that it was one of the last places in Ireland to get electricity. It is an area of Ireland you will not want to leave and you will never forget your experience, make sure you get to see it from the perfectly located Black Valley Youth Hostel.
