The harbour at Cé Mhachaire Uí Rabhartaigh (Magherroarty) hosts a ferry service across Glassan Bay to Inis Bó Finne (Inishbofin) and Oilean Thoraigh (Tory Island), while the neighbouring strand is popular for surfing and other water sports.
Walk the pier on a sunny day to take in views of headlands to the north, or catch a ferry to one of the islands. You may spot surfers catching waves in the natural reef to the west of the pier.
