Killybegs

Killybegs is Ireland’s most famous fishing ports located at the head of a scenic harbour along the magnificent North West coast.

Killybegs

One of Ireland’s most famous fishing ports, Killybegs is the perfect gateway to the Atlantic Ocean. Its natural deep water harbour greets fishing boats and their fresh catches daily. It is no surprise that local restaurants are renowned for seafood menus and The annual Killybegs Seafood Festival attracts visitors from all over the world every year.

There are a number of beautiful beaches close by including the Blue Flag Fintra Beach flanked by magnificent sand dunes. From here you can spot the cruise ships that drop anchor in town.

Killybegs is a haven for anglers. Local fisherman run fishing and sightseeing tours around the majestic Donegal Bay, taking in dramatic scenery and the tallest coast in Europe, the Slieve League Sea cliffs!

Killybeg’s is the perfect base for water adventurers with scuba diving, kayaking and paddle boarding on the menu. For those preferring dry land activities saddle up for a horse ride. Or step it out on one of the six stunning heritage treks. You can rent a bike or tee it up for a round of golf.
