The views from Coomanaspic Pass, from this incredible height are amazing, in fact they are breathtaking, it is possible see over both sides of the peninsular marked with dramatic cliff faces that drop straight to the sea. On one side over Portmagee village, the main departure point for a boat trip to the Skelligs islands, and Valentia island, one of Ireland’s most westerly points, an island of great beauty and contrast and it is joined to the mainland by bridge via the Portmagee Channel.

On the other side a good view of the Skellig Islands, Skellig Michael and Small Skellig, are two small, steep, and rocky islands that stand aloof in the Atlantic Ocean and Ballinskelligs (Ba Na Scealg)an area where Irish is the everyday language, and villagers keep alive the Irish cultural traditions.
