The Kitchen Cafe and Restaurant has been slowly building its profile as one of the most interesting and exciting establishments in Galway City. The unique location in the Galway City Museum overlooking the Spanish Arch is popular with both locals and visitors to the city.

Michelle and Louise in the kitchen source the best local ingredients and give them an international twist. Expect to find local Irish beef roasted in house and served with a chimmichurri (Argentinian herb sauce) and garlic mayo, or an Athenry lamb tagine with prunes and preserved lemon.

The restaurant has also brought some really exciting food to the vegetarians of Galway, offering tofu dishes and lots of interesting flavour filled salads. For the weekend the brunch is always popular. Front of house is headed by Aoife Q, the maker of perhaps the finest coffee in all of Galway (so say our regulars)! The counter is always laden with great cakes, scones and tarts and the gluten free brownie is always a particular winner. Kids and families are welcome.

The restaurant received a recommendation in Sally and John McKennas Bridgestone Guide for 2013 and with a space that is light and bright, friendly informed staff, a view of the arch and great grub, The Kitchen ticks all the boxes.
