When in Letterfrack, or passing through this lovely village, why not visit The Bards Den Restaurant and Bar?

The food always features fresh local and Irish produce, when in season, e.g. crab, mussels, scallops, pollock and salmon are all sourced locally.

Trout, brill, etc. are harvested off the west coast. Lamb dishes are prepared from Connemara lamb and include Irish stew, rack of lamb, lamb shank, centre loin lamb cutlets and roast leg of lamb. Only prime Irish beef is served, and The Bard's Den is renowned for its fillet, T-bone, entrecote and ribeye steaks.

Smoked salmon, chowder and home-made brown bread are served, so why not stop at The Bards Den when next in the area - you will not be disappointed!

The Bards Den is one of the oldest hostelries in Connemara, and is owner-managed. It has traditional bars featuring regular, organised and impromptu, Irish music sessions.
