Tech Amergin

Tech Amergin, named after the mythological poet, seer and lawmaker of the Celtic Milesians, was established by KES (the VEC in Kerry) as a community Education Centre in 2001. Since its inception the centre has developed as a venue for the arts, providing courses in ceramics, painting, woodcarving, photography, dance etc. to the adult populations of the Iveragh area of Kerry.

The centre also runs regular arts events recitals, performances, art exhibitions, etc. Tech Amergin has an arts venue comprising an exhibition space, a 100 seater auditorium and art/craft workshop spaces. The centre now runs summer leisure courses (landscape painting, textile craft, cúrsaí Gaeilge, digital photography etc.) as well as regular art exhibitions and performances for visiting tourists.
