Kilmackillogue offers a great opportunity as a picnic location. With fine views over Kenmare River and the surrounding area of the Beara Peninsula. The area gets its name from St. Killian who later went as a missionary to present day Germany.

The car park is accessed via a short, singletrack laneway with the picnic area and several picnic benches located a short walking distance away from the car park.
