Fishing with Eureka Lodge is mainly done on Lough Currane, however there are many other lakes and river in the surrounding area with provide excellent fishing opportunities.

The salmon fishing in Lough Currane is good in March and April, and from June there is sea trout fishing. For salmon fishing the boat is held by the boatman on the oars so that the boat is not permitted to drift across the holding areas, where large numbers of salmon shoal up and congregate, therefore providing a floating platform, with the wind behind the fly-fisher, therefore giving the angler maximum assistance in casting the fly. Large numbers of salmon are caught each season by trolling baits and lures behind the boat in all areas of the lake.
