Dunmore Head

Travel to County Kerry and discover Dunmore Head on the Dingle Peninsula. Take a hike on the magnificent headland to appreciate the stunning scenery, you'll greet a sheep or two grazing on the rich green fields. Look out for the Blasket Islands in the distance and admire the miles of undulating coastline.

Trek to the highest point and you'll find an Ogham stone, a reminder of Ireland's ancient history, and see where the Spanish Armada ships, the Santa Maria de la Rosa and San Juan, perished in 1588.

Take a break for a picnic and look down at the sea, you might even see a dolphin dip its head above the clear blue waters. Spot seabirds swooping in the sky above you and marvel at the wildflowers dotted along the Dunmore Head Loop. Enjoy this beautifully untouched part of Ireland.
