Clifden Station House Suites

Located in the courtyard of the Clifden Station House Hotel, Clifden Station House Suites offer a choice of two- and three-bedroom deluxe self-catering apartments for visitors.

Each suite is self-contained and has every modern convenience, including WiFi, TV, direct-dial telephone, microwave, fridge, hob, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

The deluxe four star two-bedroom apartment consists of one master ensuite double bedroom, one double bedroom or one twin bedroom and a bathroom.

The three-bed unit consists of one ensuite double bedroom and either one double bedroom or one twin bedroom. There is also a third single room and another bathroom.

Living rooms are suitable for camp beds, suitable for two children under the age of 12 years. Baby travel cots are provided on request. The two-bedroom apartments are located on the lower ground level (five steps down) and upper ground level (ramped access) while the three bedroom apartments are on the upper level (up one full flight of stairs) and are two storey.

If pre-ordered 48 hours prior to arrival, welcome packs can be provided with cereal, milk, butter, juice, tea, coffee and bread, ensuring no matter what time of arrival guests will have the essentials in.

Clifden Station House Suites are just a stone’s throw from the hotel’s dining, leisure and bar facilities, and guests have full complimentary access to all the hotel facilities. So whether guests fancy a swim with the kids, a spa treatment or a break from the cooking, guests have it nearby. Kids will also enjoy the Kids Club with cinema, theatre and drama workshops.

Another bonus to staying here is the hotel’s décor and surroundings. More than 70 years ago the last steam train departed from Clifden to Galway. Today the railway station, its station house platform and engine house have been magnificently restored and transformed into the hotel and courtyard apartment complex. It combines old brick and native oak, with quintessential Irish hospitality and all the facilities of a new international standard hotel.

Visitors will also enjoy Clifden’s great selection of shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. A stay here is also a great opportunity to soak up Connemara’s spectacular scenery, enjoy sensational walking and cycling tracks, incredible beaches, golf and of course the great food, drink and music that is part and parcel of the Connemara way of life.

Other don’t miss local attractions include nearby Kylemore Abbey, Killary Adventure Centre, a cruise on Killary Fjord or a visit to the Alcock and Brown crash landing site following the first transatlantic flight in 1919.
