The Celtic and Prehistoric Museum not only has Ireland’s only intact Woolly Mammoth skull, with its tusks still attached, but also the only complete dinosaur skeleton (of a baby dinosaur), a large nest of dinosaur eggs and a Cave Bear Skeleton.

Also on display are tools, weapons and other artefacts from the Jurassic, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Celtic and Viking eras as well as an outstanding collection of Celtic jewellery.

There is a shop selling jewellery, fossils, crafts, antiques and other unusual gifts.
